About the Event
Let's get active Team!
Get Active Team Link (Entry will be available on the 1st through the 28th.)
Many of us have had our regular schedules turned upside and and rolled over a few times. If you're like me, you might be finding it tough to make time for being active. Let's have some fun, see how active we can get! Make time to do some form of fitness activity.
Starting on the 1st, complete the get moving form and log your time and activity. Log in one time per day, enter your total time and select each activity you did. Upload pics from some of your actities in our group chat in the mobile app.
If we end in a tie, the volume of water consumed will be the tie breaker! So get moving and drink plenty of water!
Activitites listed in form are acceptable activities, and there is an "other" option that you'll need to specify if you select it. You can select more than one activity.
Your minutes logged should be "active minutes" when participating in any activity. For example. If you go to karate class, and the class starts at 6:30, but Sensei talks and talks and talks (for 5 minutes)... and class ends at 7:30 you would log 55 minutes. If you go for a hike and you're out for a given amount of time, but you stop and admire a the scenery here and there, or take a break for a few minutes to have a snack, you might subtract 10 minutes or so from your total time.
This challenge is different than a step challenge in that not all steps or time walking counts. Walking through your day at home, shopping, etc. are not the "active minutes" meant for this challenge. Active minutes should be from an activity you've taken time to do rather than general daily movement.
I will post an update of the top 5 once or twice each week.
Good Luck Everyone! Get Active Team Form Link
